The relationship between art and currency has always been a sensitive but unavoidable subject. Traditional ethical positions tend to judge money and money on the basis of moral integrity and place the two in a precarious relationship. In fact, if we look at this issue from a sociological point of view, we can see that money is actually an objective and worthless thing, and it constitutes the lever of the credit system and universal value of the entire society. Money plays an important role in the legitimacy of art for its concepts and for seeking self-discipline. Especially in today’s consumer society, when all things are circulated in the market following the rules of the currency and the symbolic value, it is the contemporary avant-garde art supported by the currency that becomes important for the return of “earth” beyond the value of exchange medium.
