一别香江44载。没走到香港大公报十几层大楼跟前,我远远就看见繁华的街道上空,向外突出的大公报招牌。大约有几人高的“大公报”三个字,好像用红色霓虹灯组成,入夜会更加醒目。这真和我1945年在此当记者的时候,不可同日而语了。那时,在一座破楼上,一共才三间打通的小房。报馆全体三四十人,上上下下都挤在一起。白天经理部办公,晚上让给编辑部,三四人合用一张桌子。在这样简陋的条件下,人们照样精神焕发地出报。记者们天天外出采访,晚上交稿。我们大概每天或隔一两天交一篇稿子,效率不低。我记得因为地方太窄,两位同事、燕京大学新闻系的学长谭文瑞(80年代人民日报总编辑)和
