(三) 帝国主义分子在我国近代数学教育界的阴谋活动,与我国人民的反帝斗争 (1) 传教士在我国数学教育界的阴谋活动。传教士是殖民主义的先遣队。早在清乾隆、嘉庆时代西洋传教士的魔爪已深入到我国数学教育界。乾隆五十年(1785)传教士汤士选(A.de Gouvea)、嘉庆十三年(1808)传教士福文高(D.J.Ferreire)、道光三年(1823)传教士季拱辰(J.Riberio)(三人皆葡萄牙籍)都先后攫夺了国子监算学馆的领导工作。由于当时算学馆是为少数清代贵族子弟服务的,故影响面还不十分大。鸦片战争后情况便大不同了。帝国主义国家侵略我国,要把我国变成它们的殖民地及半殖民地,在文化教育各个方面的侵略,都不放松。“其目的,在于造就服从它们的知识干部和愚弄广大中国人民。”(《毛泽东选集》第二卷第624页)。便于它们的统治。其中尤其是美帝国主义更为阴险毒辣。同治元年(1862)北京成立同文馆。同治五年(1866)在同文馆内成立算学
