教学资源是为教学的有效开展提供的素材和条件,通常包括教材、案例、影视、图片、课件等,也包括教师资源、教具、基础设施等。自从20世纪30年代视听教育兴起以来,媒体的种类越来越多,应用也越来越广泛。到80年代,学习心理学的发展推动了教育技术的进步,媒体再也不仅仅是传递信息的通道,而是构成认知活动的实践空间和领域,人们更加关心媒体环境。到了90年代,人们认识到教育技术是对与学习有关的过程和资源进行设计、开发、运用、管理和评价的理论和实践,教学资源已经被提到了非常重要的地位,关心教学资源建设,加强对教学资源的探索是中小学极其重要的任务。
