固体浮力材料是现代潜器不可缺少的。我校于1984年受船舶总公司军工部委托研制“××”深潜救生艇固体浮力材料。当时密度为0.54g/cm~3的浮力材料进口价为5.4万美元/cm~3。研制任务两年完成,有关研究按美国军用标准测试表明,各项指标达到了当时国际先进水平,研究成果获得了部级科技进步二等奖。其后又为引进美国佩雷公司的5艘 RE-CON—I型潜器研制提供了固体浮力材料。1988年,为我国第一艘捞雷潜器研制生产了
Solid buoyancy materials are indispensable to modern submersibles.
