经历“越冬育种”阶段,先一年8、9月份孵化脱壳的稚甲鱼,在次年的5月间,个体多在50g以上,为进一步快速养成商品规格的甲鱼,奠定了物质基础。将体质健壮的幼甲鱼,于每年的5—10月间,把握住最适宜的水温,投喂优质饲料,只要管理恰当,可以收到良好的效益。目前,我国商品甲鱼的饲养方式,不外乎两种类型:一种是采用集约化养殖;另一种是将甲鱼与鱼类混养(又称鱼鳖混养)。
