(一) 90年代已进入信息化时代,美国的大型企业95%以上拥有现代化的情报信息中心。到21世纪,世界各国的企业将主要在信息化方面进行激烈较量。信息是一种重要资源,是无形财富,信息与企业经济的发展息息相关,如果企业得不到可靠的信息,或者由于获取信息不及时,掌握时机不当,借鉴不妥,各种良机将会白白错过。 在当今我国发展社会主义市场经济建设的过程中,信息将发挥更大的作用,这是由市场经济本身的特性决定的,计划经济下的市场基本上是卖方市场,生产者往往处于优势地位,生产什么就卖什么,消费者对商品的购买没有多大的选择余地;而市场经济下的市场则是买方市场,生产者要根据消费者的需求进行投资和生产,消费者可自由选择所需的商品。为了使商品的供需基本得到平衡,顺利完成资本循环过程,不使商品积压,并使资本增值,这就要借助于信息,以最大限度地减少生产经营的盲目性。在市场经济条件下企业所掌握的市场信息程度如何,直接关系到企业在竞争中的成败。
