一九七六年八月十五日,吉林陨石降落后,中国科学院组织全国有关力量,对吉林陨石进行多学科现场综合考察和系统的深入研究。吉林陨石蕴藏着极其丰富的有关太阳系起源,行星演化,行星际与银河系空间宇宙线与磁场,以及生命前期化学演化的宝贵信息,引起了各国学者极大兴趣与关注。十年来,吉林陨石的研究成果开创了我国陨石学与宇宙化学研究的新阶段,推动了世界陨石研究的新发展。
On August 15, 1976, after the meteorite landed in Jilin, the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized the relevant forces across the country to carry out a multidisciplinary field comprehensive inspection and a systematic and in-depth study of the Jilin meteorite. Jilin meteorite contains extremely rich information about solar system origin, planetary evolution, interplanetary and galactic space cosmic rays and magnetic fields, and pre-life chemical evolution, which have aroused great interest and attention from scholars all over the world. In the past ten years, the research results of Jilin meteorite created a new phase of meteorite and cosmic chemistry research in our country, and promoted the new development of meteorite research in the world.
