近日,无锡公交52路获得第二届全国“敬老文明号”称号,这是无锡公交线路首次获得该项殊荣。52路是一条贯穿城市东西,连接商贸中心、名胜古迹、旅游景点的主干公交线路,70%以上是老年乘客。车厢内配备了拐杖,书报篮、便民清洁巾,在便民箱内放置老花眼镜、清凉油,方便袋等物品,以满足老年乘客的需求。驾驶员们自己动手制作的敬老爱老标语,在前后车门公开张贴,车厢的灯箱广告栏里还开辟了专栏,宣传以“敬老”为主题的“中华二十四孝”小故事。
