不久前,江泽民总书记对宣传思想工作和精神文明建设作了重要批示,胡锦涛同志在全国宣传部长会议上发表了重要讲话,丁关根同志对2000年宣传思想工作提出了明确要求。这些精神为我们做好今后的工作进一步指明了方向。新华社当前的主要任务,就是要深入学习贯彻江泽民同志的重要批示和全国宣传部长会议精神,以邓小平理论和党的十五大精神为指导,认真分析研究新形势下新闻宣传工作的新情况和新特点,积极探索和正确把握世界性通讯社的客观规律,就新华社的发展战略进一步统一思想、提高认识,在此基础上部署2000年的工作,使新华社以更大更强的新面貌跨入新世纪。
