科学家创造了一棵能够模拟蒸腾作用的“树”。蒸腾作用是植物的一种内在的毛细管作用,它能把水分从根部向上抽,使水分抵达树木的枝端。合成树看起来不怎么像树,它由水凝胶中两个并列的圆圈组成,上面有均匀分布的模仿植物管道系统的微流通道。
Scientists have created a “tree” that simulates transpiration. Transpiration is an intrinsic capillary action of the plant that pulls moisture up from the root to reach the branches of trees. The tree does not look very much like a tree. It consists of two juxtaposed circles of hydrogel with uniformly distributed microfluidic channels that mimic the plant plumbing system.
