Textbook page 66: “In 1947, the United States also advocated the establishment of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.” After all, when did the GATT come into being? According to the “Teaching Reference Book” on pages 150-151 and university textbooks, we learned about the progress of the matter: From April to October 1947, the Preparatory Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Council held a meeting in Geneva and adopted the resolution on the establishment of the International Trade Organization proposed by the United States and the Charter of the United Nations International Trade Organization.
