为了进一步贯彻“以粮为纲,全面发展”的方针,夺取粮棉双高产,1976年我们在江苏启东县植棉劳模施忠才同志的辅导下,采取“三结合”的方式,进行了大、小麦后直播棉花高密度栽培试验,获得了粮棉双高产的效果。试验面积各1亩。大麦亩产526斤,皮棉亩产270.6斤;小麦亩产628斤,皮棉亩产164.5斤。大麦后直播连作田大麦比套种的增产31.2％,皮棉增产18.1％。
