A study by the American Geriatrics Society shows that the health of elderly parents and their children often go home to see and maintain a direct relationship with their loved ones. After considering the health status, age, marital status and education and medical care of the elderly, elderly people who are closely related to their children are less likely to suffer from depression or to become demented patients. After a 15-year follow-up of the elderly under investigation, the researchers found that those who frequently had children and children who were assisted by their lives and mentality experienced a 20% reduction in mortality compared to those who did not.
