在庆祝我国第一个车轮轮箍厂——马钢第一轧钢厂投产二十周年时,中国金属学会、中国铁道学会与中国机械工程学会于1984年11月27日至30日在马鞍山市联合召开了车轮轮箍生产工艺及设备学术讨论会。来自冶金、机械、铁路各行业的103名科技人员共同回顾了六十年代在党中央、国务院领导下,各行各业同心协力、艰苦奋斗,自行建设车轮轮箍工厂的光荣历程,总结了经验;以赵紫阳总理视察马钢时的题词“用新兴技术改造老企业,使老企业永葆青春”为会议的指导思想,就我国火车车轮生产技术发展和马钢车轮轮箍厂的技术改造问题进行了学术交流。
