本文结合“5·12”汶川特大地震对广元千佛崖石窟造成的震损评估工作,介绍了因地震导致的石窟显性“震损”、隐性“震损”及其它潜在隐患的特点、表现形式及调查方法,以及基于岩土治理工程的考虑,进行地震灾害或危险性分级的评估方法,不仅对科学认知广元千佛崖石窟的地震损坏状况,切实做好广元千佛崖石窟的抢救性保护方案设计提供了大量一手资料,也为今后进行石窟寺类文化遗产的地震破坏调查和评估工作提供了有益的参考。
