The first industrial toroidal roaster iron ore pellet plant has been successfully manufactured at the Pella mine of the Mexican blast furnace company, raising industrial interest in this new pellet process. Pera factory can produce more than 100 tons of pellets per hour, the production proved in line with low cost, high quality requirements. This reinforces the belief that loop roasters produce pellets far better quality, lower weight (fuel, power, maintenance and manpower) than belt roasters or grate-rotary kilns.
