山东省从1990年到1992年连续三次“办好教育为人民”经验现场会都在我校召开,肯定和推广了我校从1988年以来努力转变办学思想,把升学考试教育转向全面提高学生素质的教育的办学经验。怎样牢牢抓住素质教育这一办学主线,保持先进水平并达到全国普通中学教改的一流水平,是我经常思考的问题。去年春天我参加了国家教委在华东师大举办的重点中学校长岗位培训,通过学习,结合以往的办学实践,我又有了许多新的体会和设想。现将我们关于素质教育的认识、实践、再认识的过程作一回顾。一、正视现实,转变观念。前些年,我校围绕升学率,领导教师加班加点,学生苦学苦练,升学率逐年提高,到1988年达到建校以来最高水平,居全区首位,校内外许多人当时认为,临沂一中办学成绩突出,高枕无忧,无需进行教
