Objective To understand the hemostatic effect of zeolite on femoral artery rupture in experimental pigs. Methods After the porcine femoral artery was excised, local hemostasis was performed using zeolite (30g package). Pigs’ blood pressure changes were used as monitoring indicators. At the same time, a control group was set up and filled with gauze of the same quality. Results All animals in the experimental group survived, and their blood pressure (systolic blood pressure) was stable at about 90 mmHg. Four of the control group died and three survived. The blood pressure (systolic blood pressure) of the surviving pig at the end of the experiment was about 35 mmHg. Conclusion Zeolite has obvious hemostasis effect on pig femoral artery injury, which provides a good idea for the pre-surgery hemostatic materials.
