More than a decade ago in the study of cervical cancer detected Notch1, suggesting that it may play a role in cervical cancer. From the development of precancerous cervical lesions to invasive cancer, Notch receptor and its ligand Jagged1 protein levels. Notch1 cooperates with HPV E6 and E7 oncogene to promote cervical squamous cell malignant transformation. However, some studies have shown that Notch1 has anti-tumor effect in cervical cancer. Its dual role may be related to Notch1 concentration and different stages of cervical lesions. In addition, Notch signaling mainly promotes cervical epithelial-mesenchymal transition through PI3K / Akt and NF-κB pathway. The relationship between Notch signaling pathway and cervical cancer formation and HPV is complex. The specificity and pleiotropic effect of Notch signaling pathway and the regulation mechanism of Notch signaling pathway need to be further studied.
