“Pure” - Ji Dachun Shanghai Art Museum solo exhibition April 4, 2007 to 12, Shanghai Art Museum. Ji Dachun: Born in 1968 in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1993, four studio. His works make people who are distressed in the interpretation of the aesthetic and meaning glimpses some of the long-running obscenities, naughty, even some “not serious” pleasure. Drawing purely on historical figures, it is not ironic or elucidating the great history but just wanting to return the simplest level in history and express one of the simplest forms of humor. The scenery of great pure painting is not to be simply interpreted as a Chinese literati Drawing a traditional recovery is more like a naïve, self-contained child of an unprincipled old child: Grand modern painting is a modern image that can not therefore be said to represent “modernity” because of his stiffness There is even a specter of floating early Renaissance iconography in an intense smile.
