位于巴西南部装机690MW的巴拉格兰德水电站目前正在建设中,高185m的混凝土面板堆石坝是世界上同类型的最高坝之一。工程于2001年7月开工,计划于2004年11月水库开始蓄水,预定于2005年10月开始商业发电。
The Balanglande Hydropower Station, located at 690MW in southern Brazil, is currently under construction. The 185m high concrete-faced rockfill dam is one of the highest dams of its kind in the world. The project started in July 2001 and plans to begin storage of the reservoir in November 2004 and is scheduled to begin commercial power generation in October 2005.
