自40年代后期发展使用2.4-滴类除草剂防除麦田及其他禾谷类作物农田阔叶杂草以来,各种新类型、新品种除草剂陆续投产,采用除草剂防除草害的技术日益受到各发达国家的重视。化学除草已成为现代化农业生产不可缺少的一项措施,随着化学除草技术的发展,农业劳动生产率进一步提高,并相应地减轻了劳动强度。但是,农田化学除草也同化学防治农业病虫害一样,带来了抗药性种群的发展问题。

Chemical weeding has become an indispensable measure for modern agricultural production. With the development of chemical weed control technology, agricultural labor productivity has been further improved, and labor intensity has been correspondingly reduced. However, farmland chemical weeding has the same problem of chemical prevention and control of agricultural pests and diseases, which have brought about the development of resistant populations.
