“很愎(狠愎)”在古代文献中是一个出现频率极高的词语,屡见于各种文体中。然即便像《汉语大词典》(1989:956)这样权威的工具书,在解释该词的时候也没能充分揭示出它的丰富内涵。今辑录如下:【很愎】犹刚愎。《晋书·甘卓传》:“卓转更很愎,闻谏辄怒。”宋欧阳修《论台谏官言事未蒙听允书》:“以天下之事,委一不学无识謟邪很愎之执中而甘心焉。”清李慈铭《越缦堂读书记·古微堂集》:“又诋諆先儒,指斥近献,
