在我们伟大祖国热火朝天的改革浪潮中,图书馆工作如何跟上大好形势,充分发挥自己的作用,这是摆在我们面前迫切需要解决的问题。图书馆工作在改革中前进,要把工作重点放在提高工作水平和质量,取得更大的社会效益方面来。党的三中全会以来,我省图书馆事业有了很大的发展。提前实现了县县有公共图书馆的目标,科研系统、学校系统和社会其它单位的图书馆也有了很大发展。以全省公共图书馆为例,与一九八○年相比,馆舍面积增加一倍,职工队伍增加了74.5％,藏书数量增加了118％,借阅册次增加了186％。这些情况说明了我省图书馆事业的发展已经达到了相当

Since the Third Plenary Session of the Party, there has been a great development in the cause of our province’s libraries.
