The Founding Conference of the China Ordnance Industry Accounting Society was convened in Chongqing in December 1984. The Armed Forces Industry Department and its affiliated enterprises and institutions, representatives of the National Defence Workers’ Bureaus (bureaus) of various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government and guests of relevant units attended the meeting. Wang Zichen, Director of Finance and Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry made an opening statement and Vice Minister Jin Lie made a written statement. Professor Wu Dawu represented the China Accounting Society and the Beijing Accounting Association and Prof. Jung Hangxing on behalf of the Shanghai Accounting Society respectively read the letter of congratulation. Zhou Chunshan, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee, spoke at the conference. Prince Chen was selected as the president, Liu Chengji and other six comrades were the vice presidents, and Jin Lie was elected as the honorary president.
