六十年代初期,我们以地方品种和引进良种作为杂交亲本材料,开展甘薯有性杂交育种工作,先后育成了晋专3、4、5、6、7、8、9号等甘薯品种,曾在生产上起了一定作用.七十年代初期,我们又育成了晋薯25、5、28号等甘薯新品种,提供生产上推广应用.近年来,我们以产量和品质兼顾为重点,结合考虑其他综合性状,选出了一批新品系,计划通过区域试验和生产示范,以进一步鉴定其适应性和增产效果.
