计算机网络规模日益增大、结构日趋复杂是信息时代的特征之一。当我们对计算机网络的依赖越来越多时,自然要关心其性能:如何维护和提高对用户的服务水平;如何优化网络系统的性能价格比;如何增强管理者对网络容量的了解和控制能力;如何指导和优化技术上的投资。
Increasingly large-scale computer networks, increasingly complex structure is one of the characteristics of the information age. When we rely more and more on the computer network, we must naturally care about its performance: how to maintain and improve the service level to users; how to optimize the performance-price ratio of the network system; how to enhance managers’ understanding and control of network capacity; How to guide and optimize the technical investment.
