红优2号西瓜是新疆培育的一个杂交种,母本是三单—4,父本是久比利。该品种引入内蒙后,经多点试种,普遍表现高产,含糖量高,抗病,长势强,瓜皮坚韧,耐贮藏,耐运输。1985年在内蒙土默特左旗华克齐乡杨家堡村种植200亩,连遭雹灾两次,亩产平均6000斤,高的达8000—12000斤;含糖量均在10—13％,质脆可口,适于长途运输,优于其它品种的商品价值。
Hongyou No. 2 watermelon is cultivated in Xinjiang, a hybrid, the female parent is three single-4, the father is a long Billy. The variety introduced into Inner Mongolia, after more trial, the general performance of high yield, high sugar content, disease resistance, strong growth, melon skin tough, resistant to storage, transport resistance. In 1985, a total area of 200 mu was planted in Yangjiabao Village, Wakeshi Township, Tumotezuoqi, Inner Mongolia, with a hailstorm of two times. The average yield per mu was 6,000 kilos and the kiln was 8,000-12,000 kilos. The sugar content was 10-13% , Crisp and delicious, suitable for long-distance transport, better than other varieties of commodity value.
