蓄电池就是通常所说的电瓶。蓄电池在轮式拖拉机和双缸机农用运输车上算是重要部件之一。如果对它的使用维护不当,就会缩短其使用寿命,致使早期损坏,不仅增加了维修费用,还影响了机车的作业效率。蓄电池的使用寿命,固然与制造质量有关,但正确地掌握使用和维护方法,也很关键。据调查,蓄电池真正达到最终寿命而报废的不超过三分之一,而绝大多数蓄电池属于早期损坏。造成早期损坏的原因很多,而主要在于二极板弯曲硫化;活性物质脱落;自行放电;单格滞后与反极等等。
