《数学课程标准》指出:“动手实践、自主探索与合作交流是学生学习数学的重要方式——学生的数学学习活动应当是一个生动活泼的、主动的和富有个性的过程.”在小学低年级数学课堂教学中,学生通过学具操作参与知识的形成过程,培养了学生的动手能力,体现了学生的主体地位,激发了学生寻找解决问题的兴趣和寻求解决问题的方法,对学生牢固掌握知识和智力的发展有着积极的现实意义.
