遵照伟大领袖毛主席“我们必须打破常规,尽量采用先进技术”的教导,在运输部党委的正确领导下,车辆段针对冶金车辆修理的关键问题车轴磨耗快,报废量大这一主要矛盾,组成以老工人为主的三结合小组,经过五个多月的努力,试制成一台电弧喷镀修复机,用于修复冶金车轴。从1966年3月份投产至今年3月底止,共喷镀修复冶金车轴840根,解决了我部冶金车辆修理的关键问题,对保证钢铁生产起了一定作用。
