不同的民族往往会形成其独特的文化意象,同一意象在不同的民旅赋有不同的含义。以促进文化交流为出发点,探讨了英汉翻译中文化意象的处理问题,提出了源语意象的取舍应以实现尽可能的文化传递为终极目标。
Different ethnic groups tend to form their unique cultural images. The same image imposes different meanings on different ethnic groups. In order to promote cultural exchanges, this paper explores the handling of cultural images in English-Chinese translation and proposes that the choice of source images should be based on achieving the ultimate goal of cultural transmission as much as possible.
