伴随全球性生态危机日益加剧而发轫并迅速发展的生态思潮,使现代伦理历史地走向生态,实现了现代伦理的巨大创新。走向生态的伦理即生态伦理,是现代伦理的一次跨越和提升,更是对传统伦理的批判和超越,实现了伦理对象上的拓展、伦理内容上的丰富、伦理价值上的重构、伦理规范上的充实以及伦理评价上的转向,标志着现代伦理发展进入了带有生态印记的新阶段。努力推进生态伦理建设,是当前我国生态文明建设的一项重要课题。
