为了进一步学习、贯彻中央关于“经济建设必须依靠科学技术,科学技术必须面向经济建设”的方针;检阅党的十一届三中全会以来全省取得的林业科研成果和推广效益;总结交流经验,表彰先进;讨论和研究开创全省林业科技工作的新局面;经浙江省人民政府批准,于一九八四年九月二十五日至二十八日在萧山县城厢镇召开了全省林业科技会议。
