北京公路学会成立于1984年2月18日。学会的宗旨是:密切公路、交通、城市建设与科技界的联系,团结广大的公路、交通、城市建设科技工作者,充分调动他们的积极性,为首都建设事业贡献力量。学会下设理事会,有理事97名,其中正副理事长9名,常务理事34名,会员2301名。学会设有办公室和8个专业委员会。此外,还在密云县等远郊区设立了10个分会。学会积极组织开展各种学术、技术交流活动,平均每年在15～20次,进行科学普及工作,经常对工程技术人员进行技术培训,把国际国内的新技术、新
