The Barentsburg series explores a Russian mining town, with satellite receiving stations and other research facilities on the same island, monitoring the climate and environment in an attempt to find the answer. Between the black and white coal, decadent culture is everywhere, a strong metaphor of the contradiction between nature and humanities. From the inside out and from the inside. Natural eternity exists, one day will catch up with us and re-occupy the community and short-term industrial progress. I hope to explore the entire town community, while highlighting the anti-coal and white polar countenance
