Sometimes my friends ask me: Why not write in English? Or, if it is in France, why not use French? They apparently think that if language change, I will benefit greatly. Therefore, it is best to use a universal language instead of a local language. In principle, I agree that it is certainly more convenient to use a more widely used language (if I can!). This reminds me of an anecdote about George Bernard Shaw. In communications with Henrik Zimmermann, Bernard Shaw said he did not understand why the Poles did not adopt Russian as their own language.
