The Third Session of the Eighth President Meeting of China Pharmaceutical Industry Research and Development Association (CCPIT) was held on September 16, 2009 in Chengdu. NPC Vice Chairman, Chinese Academy of Engineering Sang Guowei attended the meeting and was elected as the new president of China Council for the promotion of medicine. Former director of China Council for the Advancement of Drugs Sun Li-min due to work needs no longer part-time president. Congress also added “China New Drug Magazine” chairman and executive editor
