第一,维护党的纪律,为全面贯彻落实科学发展观、构建社会主义和谐杜会提供有力保证。各级纪委要按照十六届五中全会的要求,嗣绕加强宏观调控、做好“三农”工作、转变经济增长方式、增强自主创新能力、节约能源资源和保护环境等一系列重大政策和改革措施,加强监督检查。认真贯彻“八个坚持、八个反对”的要求,大力弘扬求真务实作风,发扬艰苦奋斗精神,坚决纠正讲排场、比阔气、奢侈挥霍等不良风气。认真执行党的纪律特别是政治纪律,自觉同党中央保持高度一致。
