Investigation of scrub typhus and secondary acute coronary syndrome (ACS) epidemiological relationship between the research data is scarce. Therefore, the researchers conducted a longitudinal cohort study in Taiwan, China to investigate whether the risk of ACS in patients with orchids tsutsugamushi increased. Methods: The data of 5,215 newly diagnosed tsutsugamushi disease in the national health insurance research database in Taiwan of China from 2000 to 2011 were analyzed to determine the prevalence and influencing factors of ACS in this population.
