Objective To study the value of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in the assessment of microangiopathy in diabetic patients. Methods Ninety diabetic patients with microangiopathy were enrolled in this study. Ninety patients with microvascular disease were selected as microangiopathy group. Ninety patients without macroangiopathy were selected as non-microvascular disease group. Ninety normal controls were enrolled in this study. The fasting blood glucose Value and glycated hemoglobin value for detection and analysis. Results There was significant difference in fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin between patients with and without microvascular lesions (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in fasting blood glucose, glycosylation Hemoglobin value, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions Patients with diabetes mellitus have higher HbA1c and increased risk of microvascular disease. HbA1c is of great significance for the detection of diabetic microangiopathy, and clinical indications of microvascular disease can be found as soon as possible.
