自从电脑开始普及,硬笔书法必然走向艺术化。行草、篆隶等不常用书体自不待然,而楷书、行楷也是如此。试想,有了电脑,现在的公文还需要一笔一笔地写吗?纵然你写得一手再漂亮的钢笔字,但在实用面前,敌得过从电脑里打印出来的印刷体吗?所以,现在的硬笔楷书也当思考自身的走向了——应当思考把硬笔楷书完全从实用的圈子里解放出来,如何在艺术化方向里前进得更远?
