《中国教育报》2001年10月30日有篇通讯《“野驴之父”——冯刚》,极力称赞新疆乌鲁木齐市第六中学英语教师冯刚先生为了环保事业、为了保护和宣传珍稀野生动物——野驴作出的贡献,读来令人振奋。但是,作者把冯刚老师称作“野驴之父”,总是很别扭的。不错,在某行业、某领域、某学科的研究方面确实取得了令人瞩目的成就,是某领域、某学科的创始人、缔造者,完全可以称其为“××之父”。例如把袁隆平称为杂交水稻之父。但是,把一个关心和爱护西北野驴的冯老师称作“野驴之父”却不妥。
