美国小说《爱药》,是当代女作家厄德里克对印第安居留地上生活着的印第安人的真实描写。该小说以多个视角出发去讲述同一个时代的故事,去看待同一个民族的命运。小说中浓墨重写了两大家族几代人的生活本色。他们或者成功或者失败,但却都是为了自己的同族人崛起而在这块土地上努力过。本文从小说中三对兄弟:伊莱与尼科特;莱曼与亨利;利普夏与金,也即三代人的奋争与命运,三代人的生与死,去分析和讨论传统与现代的关系。
The American novel “Love Medicine” is a true account of the contemporary Indian writer Erdrich’s life on Indian residence. The novel set out from many perspectives to tell the story of the same era and look at the fate of the same people. The novel concentrates on the qualities of life of several generations of the two great families. They either succeed or fail, but work hard on this land for the sake of the rise of their own people. This article from the novel three brothers: Eli and Nicote; Lyman and Henry; Li Pu Xia and gold, that is, the struggle and fate of three generations, three generations of life and death, to analyze and discuss the traditional and modern Relationship.
