平面设计实质上是由图形与色彩要素交流融合的一种视觉艺术。平面设计图形元素是视觉艺术空间中的一种符号象征,是视觉艺术表达过程中最直接最准确的形象呈现。平面设计中的色彩则是通过自身来传情达意,且所传达的情感非常具有感染力。在平面设计中,色彩与图形互为硬币的两面,相依成一个整体的艺术存在着。不管色彩的冷暖浓淡,色彩始终依附于图形之上,以图形为基础。图形也因为色彩的修饰衬托而获得生命活力与情感张力,进而达到平面设计所要引起的视觉刺激与赏味并由此进行其艺术的审美。
