柳州市眼科医院暨眼科研究所于1993年10月18日正式成立,自治区人民政府副秘书长潘鸿权为该院庆典剪彩,区卫生厅领导杨树青、柳州市领导蒙仁周、蒋富生、吴钦煜及有关部门专家、领导参加了成立大会。柳州市眼科医院前身是柳州市红十字会医院眼科,始建于1974年,经20年的努力,在技术与设备上已初具规模。现已开展了同种异体角膜移植术、人工晶体植入术、玻璃体切割术、儿童斜视矫正术、染料激光、RK术(放射状角膜切开术矫治近视眼)等一批区内有影响的先进项目,为推动我区眼科事业的发展起着积极的推动作用。
The Liuzhou Eye Hospital and Institute of Ophthalmology was formally established on October 18, 1993. Pan Hongquan, the deputy secretary-general of the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, cut the ribbon for the celebration of the hospital. Yang Shuqing, the leader of the district health bureau, and Meng Renzhou, Jiang Fusheng, and Wu Qinyu, leaders of the Liuzhou city, and related parties. Department experts and leaders attended the inaugural meeting. The predecessor of Liuzhou Eye Hospital was the Eye Department of Liuzhou Red Cross Hospital. It was founded in 1974. After 20 years of hard work, it has taken shape in technology and equipment. Influential advanced technologies such as allogeneic corneal transplantation, intraocular lens implantation, vitrectomy, strabismus correction, dye laser, RK (radial corneal open myopia correction) have been developed. The project has played a positive role in promoting the development of ophthalmology in our district.
