Since the State Department formally approved the program of Shanghai Free Trade Zone in July this year, it has once again entered the media and academics’ words with high frequency before its 3-year-approved Qianhai Development Zone. This time, however, it is mainly based on comparative status. Both are important signals and practical actions for China’s further reform and opening up. At the same time, both are taking financial innovation as the main event and are inevitably compared.
