利益关系是人类社会最基本最普遍的关系,利益差别是任何社会都广泛存在的普遍现象。利益差别扩大导致利益分化,引发利益矛盾和利益冲突。为了社会正常发展就必须进行利益协调。马克思主义和西方经济学理论对此有过较多的阐述。国家是利益协调的主体,自从有了政党以后,在社会利益关系的协调中政党特别是执政党起着关键的作用。在利益分化的时代,我国社会利益差别也有不断扩大的趋势,并导致社会阶层的变动,逐步发展为现代社会阶层的雏形。利益过分分化影响社会正常发展,因而加强利益协调对构建社会主义和谐社会具有重要意义。中国共产党是社会主义事业的领导核心,也是利益协调的主要领导者,对社会利益关系协调起着关键作用。因而,在利益多元化和利益分化的新形势下,要不断增强和提高党对社会利益关系的协调能力,这就要求党必须按照利益协调原则,建立合理的利益协调机制和采取合适的利益协调途径对社会利益关系加以协调,促进社会主义社会和谐稳定而又快速发展。
