Xinhua News Agency According to news from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, the Vietnamese government announced that it will step up inspection of import and export commodities on January 1, 1997 to ensure the quality of the products and comply with the import and export standards. The Vietnamese government stipulates that all imported and exported goods subject to inspection shall be permitted to be sold or exported to the overseas market in Vietnam after they have been inspected and qualified by the national inspection authority of Vietnam.
